My first business

I started my first communication consultancy business about a decade ago; we named it Everyone Exclusive, abbreviated as Ev1 Exclusive. We promoted individuals, businesses, and creatives making significant contributions through online media. I collaborated with social entrepreneurs, educators, musicians, business owners, and tech companies to highlight the essence of their work. The aspect of my job I enjoyed the most was conducting interviews and delving into their work processes and successes. I gained valuable insights from everyone I interacted with over the years.

Then, through the same business, I organized a personal development workshop series led by various trainers in Islamabad, Pakistan. Such workshops were uncommon at that time, so organizing and promoting them required effort. I had a limited budget, but the best thing that happened was the referrals and leveraging the relationships I had cultivated to generate buzz around the event. I also learned crucial lessons from that first event, realizing the importance of contingency plans and, most importantly, maintaining composure amid chaos.

Today, with a decade of experience in communication and media work, I've discovered that the sustainability of relationships hinges on the value you mutually bring. Defining your values is essential, but knowing how to communicate them effectively to ensure alignment with everyone you work with is equally important. But the most important lesson is how much I enjoy what I do or how I imply creative ways even to enjoy the mundane.
